Alright Downloaders, time for a proper hello!
I’m Michael, founder and editor of The Riff Report Blog — a proudly Welsh rock and metal publication built on loud guitars, muddy festival boots, sweaty venues, big riffs, bigger opinions, and a lifelong love of live music.
I’ve also set up Download Festival Forums as a fan-led online campsite for Downloaders — a place for riffs, rumours, laughs, planning, line-up chat, campsite advice, festival memories, and all the beautiful Donington chaos we know and love.
The idea is simple: create a friendly community where Download fans can get stuck in, help each other out, share stories, ask questions, argue politely over stage clashes, and keep the festival spirit alive all year round.
The Riff Report Blog is my way of shouting about the bands, festivals, gigs, stories, and moments that make this scene so special. From massive main stage madness to grassroots bands tearing it up in smaller venues, I’m all about celebrating the music, the fans, and the community that keeps rock and metal alive.
Here on Download Festival Forums, I’ll be sharing news, reviews, features, festival chat, band updates, interviews, memories, rumours, and plenty of good old-fashioned riff-fuelled nonsense.
